Thomas Cocco, 45, of Deltona, Florida, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Thursday morning, September 27, 2012. Born on May 5, 1967 in Meadowbrook, PA to Doris and Winfield Cocco, Tom spent most of his early life in his beloved Philadelphia. A memorial service in his honor will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 7:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 5:00pm 7:00 PM at the Lohman funeral home Deltona at 1681 Providence Blvd. Deltona, Fl 32725. Tom was a passionate man who enjoyed many hobbies, especially repairing anything in need of fixing. His passions included his family, friends, fishing, playing pool, and he was an avid gun enthusiast. He worked as a mechanic for most of his life, until he was forced to give up the career he loved due to his illness. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering with machinery, watching movies and spending time with friends and family. Tom was always there to help friends with household projects, repair work, or wherever else his expertise was needed. Tom was an extremely loving man, who had a heart of gold. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Lorri (nee Barr) Cocco; his two children, Keri ( Michael) Wilson of Colorado Springs, CO and Thomas Cocco of Deltona, Fl; three grandchildren Haedyn and Maximus Wilson, and Quentin Cocco; brother Stephen Cocco; sisters Laurie White, Julie Kircher, and Doreen Scott; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Also heartbroken are his loving canine companions, Jerry and Sassy. Thomas was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Thomas' name to the Good Samaritan Clinic at 312 West New York Avenue, DeLand, Florida 32720.
