WALTER DAVID KEPLINGER

Walter David Keplinger, 54, of Daytona, FL and Peoria Heights, IL passed away Wednesday December 14, 2011 in Daytona Beach FL. David was born in Jonesboro Tenn on July 2, 1957 along with his twin sister Lynda Ellen Keplinger. He loved racing, old cars and old motorcycles. His love for cars and bikes started in his father's garage with gokarts and minibikes. He enjoyed fishing and collecting old coins which he learned from his beloved Grandpa King. He collected guitars and played the harp and loved southern rock. He was very good friends with the Marshall Tucker Band and you could find him backstage at their concerts all the time. He loved vacationing in Tennessee at the Keplinger family farm and was facinated with Grandpa Keplinger's Model A and T Fords and vintage farm equipment. David split his time each year between Florida and Illinois. In Daytona he worked for his friend Billy G, Datyona Harley Davidson and Mat-Vac Technology Inc. In Illinois, he worked for his good friend at Stan Sheilds Racing. His forever survivors include his forever girlfriend Mary Allen of Peoria Heights, IL; one daughter Natalie of Detroit, MI; mother Carol Keplinger Arnold of Peoria Heights, IL; father Charles Curtis Keplinger of Daytona, FL; step father Ben Arnold of Peoria Heights, IL; twin sister Lynda Ellen Keplinger of Peoria Heights, IL; two brothers, Chad Keplinger of Seattle, WA and Carl Douglas Keplinger of Daytona, FL; neice Nicole Angle Keplinger of New Smyrna Beach, FL; aunts Mary of Peoria Heights, IL, Elsie of Johnson City, TN, Suzie of TN, and Dorthy of Washington, IL; cousins, Ronny of Peoria Heights, IL, Benny of Chicago, IL, Tammy of Denver, CO, Jason, James, Julie, Jenny, Stacie all of TN, and Jimmy, Richie, Becky, Brenda, Pamie all of Washington, IL, Susan, Randall, Tony, Phillip all of Johnson City, TN; uncles, Malcum of TN, Richard King of Washington, IL; nephews and nieces, Danyelle, JD, Sara, Kenny all of Peoria Heights, IL; great nephews and nieces, Dustin, Chloe, Lance, Tucker, Emmett, Kaylee all of Peoria Heights, IL.
