On December 31, 2017 the Lord called home a beautiful angel. Wenona L Miller was born on July 19, 1935 in Maryville, Tennessee. She loved the Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball team and even played basketball in her youth. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed crafting, from doing woodwork to making jewelry. She loved the mountains, the waterfalls and going to Cherokee. She loved her dachshunds (Miss Molly) and feeding the Cardinals in her yard. During her working years, she worked at Publix Bakery, Belks and Sherwood Medical. She was well known for nurturing and caring for others. From taking care of nieces and nephews, to taking care of family and friends as they approached their end of life. She was Native American and was on the Baker Rolls in Cherokee, NC. She was predeceased by her parents, Pearl Lee and Earl McLemore, husband Benjamin (Buddy) Miller, son Richard Hickman, siblings, Cheri, Glenda, Tommy, Patricia, Dorothy, Frankie and Burl. She is survived by her daughter who provided for her care, Sharon Johnston (Creston), DeLand, FL. Sons, Ronald Hickman (Sharon), Manassas, VA. Robin Miller, Alcoa, TN. Granddaughter, Budnita Miller, Maryville, TN whom she raised from birth as her daughter. Siblings: Wanda Greene, James Presley and Scott Presley. Grandchildren: Jennifer Link, Richard (Tom) Hickman, Jr., Sara Lilly, Jessica Rew, Ryan Hickman, Eli Hickman, Rob Hickman, Russell Hickman, Kody Miller, Bridgett Carothers, Creston (Trey) Johnston, III. Great grandchildren: Lillyan, Austyn, Zachary, Aidan, Riley, Emily, Abby, Sara, Valen, Caitlyn, Xander, Makenna, Graham, Griffin, Kanye, Joseph, Colten, Jackson, Abigail, Wesley, Payton, Derrick, Mason, Bryce, Morgan, Leo, Indy, Cayden, Kaisley. Services will be at: McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, 220 W. Broadway Ave., Maryville Tennessee 37801-4706. Visitation 5-7 pm Friday night, Service at 11:00 am Saturday followed by burial at Grandview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Rob Hickman, Russ Hickman, Richard (Tom) Hickman, Ryan Hickman, Kody Miller and Creston (Trey) Johnston, III.
