Esther W. Bateman, born in Syracuse, New York on July 26,1921 to Ezra B and Bertha Veith Warner passed away April 12, 2012 at her residence in Lake Helen, Florida. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church in DeLand April 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Before moving to Florida many happy summers were spent in Cape Vincent, New York and at her home in Memphis, New York. Mrs. Bateman retired from Merchants Bank Jordan, New York in 1982 where she worked as a bank teller. She found beauty in all things, loved her family and friends and will be missed by all. She was married to James F. Bateman for 66 years, who preceded her in death on May 4, 2009. Survivors include her son, John Bateman and his wife Robin, her daughter, Jill Bateman, two sisters, Myrtle Rumsey and her husband, Milton of Alabama and Charlotte Morehouse of New York and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
