- James M. Barga, 71, of New Smyrna Beach, a former heavy equipment operator in Ohio and Florida, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Mr. Barga was born in Sidney, Ohio and moved to New Smyrna Beach in 2004 from Quincy, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary E.; daughter, Kimberly Barga of New Smyrna Beach; son, Duane Harmon; step daughter, Gidget Moore; two step sons, Tim (Bobbie Jo) and Charles Anderson, all of Bellefontaine, Ohio; two grandchildren, including James Champagne of New Smyrna Beach; many step grandchildren; sister, Shirley (John) Allen of DeGraff, Ohio; niece, Becky Berger of Quincy and two nephews Andrew and Chester Allen, both of DeGraff. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four infant daughters. Cremation will be by Dudley Crematory, New Smyrna Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray medical expenses.
