William S Brackett III, born on December 5, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY passed peacefully away in Florida Hospital Flagler on June 30, 2012. William was the son of Helen and William Brackett Sr. William was a United States veteran of World War II. He worked all his life up until August, 1993 when he and his beloved wife Helen retired to Palm Coast, Florida. William was an active member of the Masons and the Shrine for over 50 years. He worked diligently even in retirement working to benefit Shriner's Children's Hospitals. William also worked for the Devereux School to help children with emotional and developmental disabilities. He enjoyed working outdoors in his yard and was most happy when surrounded by his family. William leaves behind his loving wife Helen of 65 years; four wonderful children - Diane, Glenn, Cynde and Kris; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed and always in our hearts. For information on where the memorial service will be held, please call (239) 220-6914.
