Teresa Barnes Felter died Saturday September 29 at Signature Health Care in Gainesville, FL. She was 86 years old. She was one of the original members of the Grand National Racing Wives Auxiliary, known today as the Women's Auxiliary of Motorsports, Inc. Born and raised in Glens Falls, N.Y., the former Teresa Anne DeMarsh married George H. Barnes on July 30, 1944. They moved to Daytona Beach in 1951 and had three children, George, Jr., Robert and Clifford. They traveled and camped along the east coast of the country for 30 years, making many friends along the way. After the death of her first husband in 1976, Teresa met and married Harry A. Felter on August 8, 1980. Both having a love of traveling and camping, they toured the United States and Canada. Survivors include, George, Jr. (Marie), Robert (Linda), and Clifford (Lisabeth), and stepson Paul Felter (Lola); eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by first husband George H. Barnes, second husband Harry A. Felter, and granddaughter Heather Barnes. The family plans to have a funeral mass at the Church of the Epiphany, 201 Lafayette St., Port Orange, Saturday October 13 at 11:00 AM.
