Captain Freddie L. Durst (Magoo), 59, lifelong resident of Daytona Beach, passed away after a short battle with cancer on November 30, 2012. He spent his entire life on the water. He had a love for the sea, fishing and a passion for restoring boats, houses and cars. He worked over 30 years as Master Captain in the oil industry, with extensive anchor handling, rig moves and barging in international and national markets. He is survived by step-mother Mary Durst; lifelong partner/ex wife Mary Greco-Durst; and numerous friends. Preceded in death by mother, Verna and father, Robert. Will receive friends Saturday, December 8th, 4 pm at 135 Sea Isle Circle, South Daytona.
