Ruth L. Prow, 90 year's young, rose peacefully to heaven January 15, 2013 (one year ago, to the same day of her loving husband, James and within 2 hours apart). Born in Chicago, she one of 2 siblings. She was a loving mother, housewife, and cared for her family of four children, and husband James of almost 70 years. Ruth worked for Bell Telephone as an operator in Barrington, Il, Salem, Oregon, and Colorado Springs, Co. during World War II. After retirement, in 1983, James and Ruth moved to Ormond Beach, Florida. She is survived by her children: daughter, Nancy Green; and son Richard Prow. Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Prow, brother, Bob Johnson, daughter, Sandra Holmes, and son William Prow. She enjoyed playing Skippo with Paul and Nancy, dancing with her husband James (who was later named "Twinkle Toes Prow"). James and Ruth were blessed with 8 grandchildren and 10.5 great-grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all. A special thanks to the loving care from; Dee Crews, a longtime caregiver and friend; The Sarah House; Bridgeview Nursing; and Hospice of Volusia/Flagler. Interment of Ruth and James ashes, upon a ceremony of life and love, will be withheld until March 13th 2013 when, they will once again be joined together to rest eternally among their family, in their final resting place In Barrington, Illinois.
