Patricia Anne Schoonmaker, 83, of Ormond Beach, passed away on February 8, 2013 at her home. Patricia was born in Sanford, FL, and grew up in the Ormond Beach area. Patricia was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed volunteering as a school nurse, with girl scouts and as a high school chaperone. She was a member of Ormond Beach Methodist Church. She made choir robes and was an avid seamstress. After her children grew up she started a career as a secretary. She was a 1946 graduate of Mainland High School. Patricia enjoyed the beach and traveling with her sister, Bettie Adele and Bettie's family. She also loved the annual Shrimp Festival in Fernandina Beach with her immediate family. Survivors include her son, Gilbert Yglesia Jr. (Marie), and Fred Yglesia (Sharon); daughter, Linda Kerr; three granddaughters, Melanie Kerr, Shelley White, and Hillary McCormick; four grandsons, Kyle Kerr, Freddy Yglesia Jr., Gilbert Yglesia Jr., and Kenny Hunt; five great-grandchildren, Shay White, Kirra White, Austin Reddy, Drayke McCormick, and Katie McCormick; two brothers, Jack Yelvington and Jim Yelvington; three sisters, Bettie Adele Norwood, Judy Ogle, and Connie Craddock. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Ralph Oscar and Minnie Adele Yelvington; two husbands, Gilbert Yglesia Jr. and Richard Schoonmaker Jr.; daughter, Deborah McCormick; sister, Barbara Zimmermann; three brothers, Ralph Yelvington Jr., Butch Arrington and Richard Arrington. Survived by several nieces; nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews who loved her dearly. Service will be 3pm Sunday, February 17th at Bayshore Condominiums, 925 North Halifax Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL.
