Homegoing Celebration for Tamara Marcella Davis, 44, Jacksonville, will be held 11am, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. Annis Primitive Baptist Church, 502 S. Orange Avenue, DeLand, Pastor Eugene Johnson and Bishop Eugene Collier, Officiating. Visitation will be held today (Friday) from 4pm to 7pm at J.E. Cusack Mortuary and Saturday from 10am until service time at the church. Burial will follow the services at DeLand Memorial Gardens. Tamara, known to all as "Tammy" was born January 28, 1969 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Willie McArthur and Hattie Mae Davis. She attended the public schools in Long Beach, New York, graduating in 1987 and received her A. S. Degree from Florida Technical College. Tamara was employed at Oaks Early Learning Academy Daycare and a member of Open Arms Christian Fellowship of Jacksonville. Tamara departed this life March 2nd surrounded by her family. In addition to her parents, also preceding her in death, brother, Granson Davis Sr. She leaves to cherish to cherish her memory, daughter: Krystal Davis; fiancee': Ronnie Williams, Jacksonville, Florida; sisters: Ada McMoore, Uniondale, New York; Patricia McNeil, Hempstead, New York; Emma Davis, Long Beach, New York; Janice Daniels (Johnny), Virginia, Evelyn Dukes, DeLand, Florida; Demetrius Davis, Delaware; brothers: Bill Davis, Uniondale, New York; Johnny Davis (Patricia), Queens, New York; Willie Davis, Upstate, New York; godson: Joseph Lewis, DeLand, Florida; special friends, Kowain Harris, Nicole Pitts, Tammara Spradley, Michal Gants, Stephanie Wright, Mary Williams, Kim Ingram, Lisa Huffman and Garnile Haywood, Whitney Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
