Carmen Charles Micalizzi 77, of Bunnell, Florida passed away on October 25, 2013 peacefully at his home. A private Memorial Gathering was held on October 29, 2013. Carmen was born and raised in Connecticut. He proudly served in the United States Army. Upon his discharge he married the love of his life Gail Laskay in 1964.Together they relocated to Pennsylvania where they raised their family. They moved to Flagler County, Florida 25 years ago. Carmen worked in the Maintenance department at Daytona Beach Community College for several years and retired from Santore & Sons Fireworks Company in Bunnell, Florida just two short years ago. He had a fondness for old cars, playing mini-golf or a good old game of gin. For all those who knew Carmen he will also be remembered for his love for animals, especially all of his dogs that were part of his family over the years. Carmen will be remembered for his caring and kind ways and his love for his family. Carmen was preceded in death by his parents Salvatore and Mildred, brother Richard "Dick" Bowen, sister Ruth Micalizzi. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Gail Micalizzi of Bunnell, FL., sons Mark Micalizzi of PA., Richard Micalizzi of CA., daughter Christina Micalizzi-Donato and her husband Craig of PA. He was also the loving grandfather of his five grandchildren Candace, Eric, Courtney, Jessica, and Bryce.
