Funeral Services for Mr. Giovanne Maurice Gonzalez, who passed on Monday, February 24, 2014, will be 3 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Master's Domain Church of God in Christ with Dr. Muriel Fuqua, Pastor, Word and Praise Family Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5-8:30 PM, today, (Fri, Feb. 28) at RJ Gainous Funeral Home and from 1:30 PM until service time at the church on Saturday. Giovanne was born on March 11, 1996, in New Britain, Connecticut to the proud parents, Gloria Gonzalez and Myron Williams. He had a great love for his grandparents, Hector and Luz Gonzalez and Betty Culbreth. Giovanne was affectionately known by his skateboard name, "D". Giovanne attended SASO Education Program where he received his High School Diploma. His special interests included skateboarding, basketball, free styling rap, and creative writing. Giovanne was a member of Word And Praise Family Church, Inc. where he worked diligently as an assistant in the Sound/Media Department. Giovanne leaves to cherish his memories, his mother: Gloria Gonzalez, Daytona Beach; father: Myron Williams, New Britain, CT; his grandparents; Hector and Luz Gonzalez, Betty Culbreth, Taylor, SC; his sister: Gea Marie Gonzalez, Hartford, CT; his aunt, Sonia Gonzalez Deland, FL; his uncles, Hector Jr. and Tony Gonzalez, New Britain, CT; other uncles and aunts on his father's side of the family, and a host of family and very close friends.
