John Abyathis Langdon, 72, of Palm Coast, FL., passed away peacefully February 23, 2014. John A. was born July 23, 1941 in Rockland County, New York. John A. served in the United States Navy as a SFP2, serving on the USS Little Rock and the USS CONY. John A. retired from the New York State Police in 1994. At the time of his retirement he was a Sergeant and Investigator with the New York State Drug Enforcement Task Force; after moving to Palm Coast, FL. John A. worked at Daytona College as a Security Guard for seven years, retiring in 2007. He was an avid motorcycle rider and outdoorsman. John A. is survived by his loving wife of nearly 49 years Mary Langdon of Palm Coast, daughters Regina Langdon (Michael Gannett) of New York, Julia Langdon of New York, and Patricia Maynard (Sean) of Virginia, six grandchildren Candice, Cassie, Lakota, Kiersten, Zack, and R.J., brothers Edward Langdon (Tracy) of Virginia and Joseph Langdon (Margie) of New York. He also leaves behind his six nieces and nephews. We will celebrate John A's life Monday, March 3, 2014, from 3:00pm to 6:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW, Palm Coast, FL with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy, Palm Coast, FL on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 11:00 am.
