October 21, 1935- February 28, 2014. Fritzie was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on February 28, 2014. She lived a life of servitude, all who knew her had experienced her generosity, service and most of all love. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ray Carter veteran of World War II and Korean War in 1989. Fritzie spent her life making others happy through her hard work. She spent 30 years working for Volusia County Schools. Even her favorite pastimes were used to serve others - cooking, sewing, crocheting and knitting, always for other people. Her passion for serving others allowed her to be somewhat of an expert in southern cuisine. She enjoyed card games, bingo and lunch at the Sunrise Café. Fritzie's biggest passion was her family, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Fritzie is survived by her daughter Barbara Wallace, grand-daughters Melissa Wallace and Michelle Wallace McCabe, (husband Kelly McCabe), great grandchildren Ashley, KJ and Kieran. Surviving son Charles D. Carter, (wife Elfi), grandchildren Mario and Carmen, great grandchildren Katharina, Luisa, Sophie and Julia. Service will be held March 16th, 2014 at 10:30am at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 North Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, with Pastor Raymond Lewis officiating.
