Vincent Gregory Spence was born to Jeanette Faulks October 3, 1957 in Norfolk, VA and was raised by his grandmother Mrs. Mamie Spence. After graduating Norview High School he decided to enlist in the Army for a 20 year career. After retiring, he moved to Daytona Beach where he worked for GA Foods delivering Meals on Wheels for several years. He then worked as a U.S. Postal Carrier for over 15 years until his illness forced him into retirement in 2013. Preceding him in death: Jeanette Faults (Mother) Karen Robbins (Sister). He is survived by his children, Renee' Spence (Sanford), Lisa Spence (DeLand); grandchildren: Gabriel Spence, Raiden Roper, Rylan Roper, Christian Spence, Gavin Taylor and Ryan Gephdart. Mamie Spence (Grandmother), Cheryl Faulks (Sister), Bruce Faulks (Brother) Leda Spence (Special Cousin). And a host of nieces, nephews and friends. His life will be celebrated 1pm Saturday in the Ruth Cusack Chapel of Cusack Mortuary with Rev. Melvin Young, officiating. Visitation will be today (Friday) from 4pm to 7pm at the mortuary. Burial and military honors will be 11am Monday, March 17th at Florida National Gardens, Bushnell.
