Kenneth W. Marten, 59, of DeLand, passed away Wednesday, March 12 after a long illness. Born to William and the late Sara Marten in Kintnersville, PA, Kenneth was a loan officer for Barnett Bank before retiring. He loved to play golf, go fishing, watching NASCAR and most especially dancing. Ken was preceded in death by his mother Sara Marten and his twin brother Tim Marten. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Lorrie, his father William Marten of Merritt Island, sisters Robin (Randy) Leidy of Charleston, SC, Melody (Dimitri) Herr of Jacksonville, FL and his niece Kristy (Joe) Baker. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 16 at the Lankford Funeral Home. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. St. Peter Catholic Church in DeLand. Mr. Marten's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the owners and staff at Good Shepard ALF, who took such wonderful care of Kenneth.
