Christopher J. Armstrong, 37, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away March 1, 2014. A Celebration of Life with military honors will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:00 am at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 am. Chris proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines for six years. After his military service, he worked for government contractors, including Lockheed-Martin. Chris "CJ" later joined the U.S. Army active reserves and achieved the rank E5, Sergeant. For pleasure, Chris enjoyed surfing, cooking, and endurance running. He was also skilled in specialty photography. His passion was his family and his friends. Chris is survived by his wife of four years, Tomoko, of Hawaii; by his father Arthur "Art" Armstrong and his wife Leslie of Ormond Beach; and by his brother Arthur of Maryland.
