Joseph E. Szerbinski, Sr., 76, of Palm Coast, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Florida Hospital Memorial in Daytona Beach after a long illness. Joe was born in Melrose Park, IL and lived in the Chicago area until he and his wife retired to Palm Coast, FL in 2003. In his earlier years, Joe had worked as a District Sales Manager for the Hoover Company. In 1979 he became owner and president of Forest Park Stucco in Forest Park, IL. He enjoyed boating, fishing, horse racing, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, the former Mary Bernadette Sheehan of Fort Lee, NJ. He is also survived by his son, Joseph E. Szerbinski , Jr. of Forest Park, IL; daughter-in-law, Wendy Szerbinski, of Bloomingdale, IL; sisters, Sue (Joe) Kolar of Fox Lake, IL, and Cathy Melton of Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law, Jeanette Meyer Szerbinski of Stone Mountain, GA, and two loving grandchildren, Ashley Ann and Ryan Joseph Szerbinski. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 4 - 7 pm and funeral service on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11 am at The Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, FL.
