Thelma F. Mulberger, age 91, of New Smyrna Beach, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at her home. Born in Antes Fort, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Mulberger, a homemaker and the matriarch of the family, moved to this area in 1993 from Okeechobee, Florida. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, New Smyrna Beach and was very active with The Daughters of the King. Mrs. Mulberger enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing, and as a gardener she had a green thumb. Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Tina) Mulberger, New Smyrna Beach and Daniel (Diane) Mulberger, Plantation Acres, Florida; one grandson, Mark Mulberger, San Diego, California; two nephews, Jim (Diane) Fox and Dick (Sandra) Forney; and one niece, Ethel (Dick) Melder. Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 2 at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, 3001 S. US Highway 1, Edge-water, FL 32141, with the Reverend James D. Taylor, officiating. Memorial donations in Mrs. Mulberger's name may be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida 32129.
