Garrett Clay Daugharty, 17, of DeLand went to Heaven on Sunday, April 27, 2014. Clay was born to Bruce and Tamara Daugharty on June 10, 1996 in DeLand, Florida. Clay is a 2014 DeLand High School Graduate. Clay was an avid hunter and fisherman. His caring heart touched all who knew him. Some of his happiest moments were when he was helping others. Clay is survived by sisters, Sissy Daugharty-Beery of DeLand, Molly Daugharty of DeLand; niece and nephew, Rainey and Gunner Beery of DeLand and many, many uncles, aunts, and cousins. A trust has been established at Surety Bank DeLand in the name of Clay Daugharty Charity Fund. Calling hours are Friday, 6-8 at Allen Summerhill Funeral Home. Graveside services are Saturday, 10:00 A.M. at Mt. Olive Cemetery, on Johnson Lake Road in DeLeon Springs.
