Kent T. Eller, age 88, of Edgewater, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia's Edgewater Care Center. Born in Padena, Georgia, Mr. Eller, an automotive tire builder and owner of Eller Washer and Dryer Repair, moved to this area in 1998 from Clinton, Ohio. He served in the United States Army, was a member of Hemptown Baptist Church in Hemp, Georgia, enjoyed golf, fishing, bowling and playing games, and loved his family. Survivors include one sister, Lois (Lee) Hardy of Clinton, Ohio; two brothers, Edward (Betty) Eller of Dalton, Georgia, and James Paul (Zelda) Eller of Edgewater; two surrogate grandchildren, Cheyanne Schenck of Rittman, Ohio and Doug Robinson of Barberton, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Eller was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Clara Eller; his wife of 54 years, Madaline Faye Church Eller; two brothers, Elmo and Verlie Lionel Eller; and two sisters, Bonnie Bates and Clara Jean Davis. Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. today (Friday, May 2, 2014), at Settle-Wilder's New Smyrna Beach chapel, with Pastor John Marsh, Bella Vista Baptist Church, and The Reverend J.C.
