Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Frances Finn Corbett, age 84, of New Smyrna Beach, who died April 30, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach, with the Reverend Patrick Quinn, officiating. The burial will take place at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater followed by a reception with family and friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. today (Friday, May 2) at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach. Born in Miami, Florida, Mary, a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, moved to this area in 1987 from Titusville and formerly, Miami. She attended business school following her high school graduation from St. Peter and Paul in Miami. A devout Catholic, Mary was an active member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She loved animals, cooking, vacationing, family get togethers, and spending time with her loved ones. She was adored by all for her kindness, compassion, generosity and loving nature. Mrs. Corbett is survived by her sons, Stephen R. (Monica), James J. and William P.; daughters, Patricia F. Corbett, Kathleen C. Joaquin ( John), Jeanne C. Smith (Michael), Teresa J. Corbett (Frank), Ann E. Herlitzka (David); grandchildren, Madeline, Jason, Grace, Lauren, James, Stephen, Patricia, Juliana, Alyssa, Spencer, Jessica, Jonathon, Meghan and Edward; great-grandchild, Colton; and sister-in-law, Peggy Slayden. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Corbett; her parents; and her brother, John Aaron Finn.
