Grace Marie "Dixie" Glessner Cannariato, 78, of Ormond Beach, FL went to be with her heavenly Father, on May 30th due to a short battle with Leukemia surrounded by her family as she passed over. She was born to the late John Glessner and Marjorie Mulligan in Locust Gap, PA. Grace was married to Tom Cannariato on Sept. 10, 1955 in Bronx, N.Y. They moved to Florida in 1956 where she and Tom bought the Capri Motel in Daytona Beach. Family was everything to her. She loved to play bingo, do scratch offs and play the slots. Grace is predeceased in death by her brother, Joseph Glessner. Grace is survived by her husband of 58 years, Tom Cannariato, her sister Marietta Andrulewich (Ben) of Edison, N.J., her sister, Jacqueline Glessner of Peru, two children, Carol Cannariato of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Donna Cannariato Buch (Steve) of Margate, FL, her grandchildren, Jennifer Buch of Atlanta, GA, Kellye Buch of Pompano Beach, FL, and Jon Buch of Margate, FL, her great-granddaughter, Sophie Grace Stevenson of Pompano Beach, FL, and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews too numerous to list. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during the last few months, especially Becky Rupert and her son Erik. Mass of Resurrection will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Saturday, June 7th at noon, with a gathering afterwards for family and friends to celebrate Grace's life. In lieu of flowers, family are asking donations be sent to The School Sisters of Notre Dame Missionary Funds for Lima Peru C/O Sister Jacqueline Glessner, 345 Belden Hill Road, Wilton, CT 06897.
