Funeral Services for Mr. Raymond Yarbrough, 87, Daytona Beach, who passed on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, will be 2 PM, Saturday, June 7, 2014 at RJ Gainous Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeffrey D. Robinson, Sr., Pastor, Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5-8:30 PM, today (Fri, June 6) at RJ Gainous Funeral Home and from 12:30 PM until service time at the Funeral Home on Saturday. Mr. Yarbrough was born in Notasulga, Alabama to the late Burl and Jessie Shivers Yarbrough. In 1947 he relocated to Daytona Beach from his birthplace. He attended the former Campbell Street High School and retired from the East Coast Railway. He enjoyed baseball and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves. Mr. Yarbrough was preceded in death by his siblings, David Yarbrough, Willie James Yarbrough, Hershey Yarbrough, C. P. Yarbrough, Mary Yarbrough, Clara Brown and Lorene Taylor. He leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers, Jim Yarbrough, Cincinnati, Ohio and John Yarbrough (Karen), Daytona Beach, Florida; a sister: Christine Royal, Daytona Beach, Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
