Tony Boone, 80, South Daytona, a parts assembler for General Motors Corp., Flint, MI before his retirement, died Sunday, June 22, 2014. Mr. Boone, a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, was born in Jefferson, SC and moved to the area in 1979 from Flint. He was a member of the UAW Local #659 and the Masonic Lodge both in Flint. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Lillie Emmalee; two sons, Tony D. Boone of Flint and Matthew (Teena Long) Boone of Port Orange; three daughters, Dawn Denise (Paul) Engle of
Port Orange, Debbie (Dennis) Pavlik of South Daytona and Wendy Boone (Kenneth) Parrish also of South Daytona; two brothers, Billy (Ruby) Boone of Gaffney, SC and Harold (Brenda) Boone of Harrisburg, NC; one sister, Faye (Jon) Hatcher of Virginia Beach, VA; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Devonne Boone in 1962. Visitation will be from 5PM until 8PM Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Dudley Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Friday, June 27, 2014 at Dudley Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach with Pastor Pete Keirstead, Thrive Community Church, Port Orange, officiating. Entombment will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Edgewater with military honors conducted by members of American Legion Post #285, Edgewater.
