Zackary Garrett Donatti, 19, of New Smyrna Beach, FL passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 unexpectedly. He was born August 26, 1994 at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, FL. Zack was
an accomplished race driver from quarter midgets to super late models. At the age of 17 he stopped racing but never lost the dream of picking it back up again. He then became a mentor to young inspiring drivers. Zack was also a successful barrel racer achieving state and national awards. He was a New Smyrna Beach High School Graduate class of 2012. He always an honor roll student. After graduating high school, Zack started working for his father's business, Tom Donatti Building & Roofing Inc. as a carpenter. Just recently, Zack was in the process of getting his contractor's license and was currently a project supervisor for the company. At the tender age of 19, it was Zack's dream to become the president of the business within 5 years. He is survived by many family, friends, and loved ones. Mother, Tish (McAfee) Donatti, Samsula; Father, Tommy E. Donatti (Valerie), Edgewater; Maternal grandmother, Waunetta Zimmer (Meme); Paternal grandparents, Harry and Jayne Theal (Nan & Pop), Pennsylvania; stepsisters Kelsey Weiss and Kaitlyn Weiss, Edgewater; and step-grandparents, David and Frances Mills, Port Orange. Zack was a very giving young man, therefore a foundation has been set up in his honor to continue the legacy of giving that he shared.
