Donald Arthur Drake, age 84, of New Smyrna Beach, died Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/ Flagler in Edgewater. Born in Rahway, New Jersey, Mr. Drake, a book printer, moved to this area in 1994 from Matawan, New Jersey. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, was a member of New Smyrna Lodge 149 F.&A.M. and American Legion Post 17; enjoyed fishing, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Evelyn; three children, David (Kirsten) Drake, Douglas (Sharon) Drake, and Donna (James) Lewis; seven grandchildren, John, Ashley, Jeremy, Taylor, Hunter, Shauna, and Coleen; and one great-grandchild, Savannah. Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, with New Smyrna Lodge 149 F.&A.M. and Memorial Lodge 16, officiating. Calling hours will be 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at the funeral home. Condolences may be made online at www.settlewilderfuneralhome.com
