Edward R. Jones, of Palm Coast, departed this life July 11, 2014. He was born in 1927 in Wayne, New Jersey, to the late Matthew and Johanna Jones. Edward was a Navy veteran who served his country in the South Pacific during World War II. He and his wife Norma resided in Ramsey, NJ., where they raised their family and he ran a plumbing and heating business for 40 years. They retired to Palm Coast in 1987 where he was active in the Palm Coast United Methodist Church and throughout the community. He was an avid golfer and proud to have made two hole-in-ones. He is survived by his wife of 60 years; two sons, William and Edward; daughters Elaine (Elsayed) and Linda; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Cheryl. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway, where services will be held at 2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Jones name to Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast FL 32164, or Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast FL 32137.
