Edward Lee Maust, age 79, of Oak Hill, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at Ocean View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Smyrna Beach. Born in Somerset, Pennsylvania, Mr. Maust, a former heavy equipment operator, moved to this area in 1985 from Nashua, New Hampshire, where he owned Ed's Auto Clinic. He was a member of American Legion Post 285 in Edgewater, New Smyrna Chapter 3 Order of Eastern Star, and Masonic Lodge in Niagara Falls, New York, was wonderful at
woodworking and loved working in his yard. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Lois; seven children, Cindy (Neil) Young, Starr (Mark) Reed, Drexel (Kathleen) Maust, Donna (Etienne) Tardif, Dale (Barbra) Maust, Janet Smith, Lisa (Mark) Benson; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Dana Jean (Rick) Deppen and Darlene (Brian) Devries; six step-grand-children; and six step-great grandchildren. Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, 3001 S. US Highway 1, Edgewater, with the Pastor Gene Griffith, Fruit of the Vine Fellowship, officiating. Memorial donations in Mr. Maust's name may be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida 32129.
