Robert (Bob) Desautel of Ormond Beach, Florida, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 25th, 2014, following a period of declining health. Born to Eva and Arthur Desautel on February 20, 1923, in North Attleboro, MA, he was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Pauline (Piette) Desautel, and his three daughters, Laura (Don) Ouellette of Attleboro, MA, Lorraine (Ray) Bussing of Jacksonville, FL, and Diane Hill of Fort Lauderdale and Ormond Beach, FL. He is also survived by five loving grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as did his three brothers. Bob was a very talented and respected jewelry model maker during his working years in Massachusetts and Rhode Island and his many jewelry models were produced and distributed by prestigious jewelry companies worldwide. Following his retirement, he and Pauline retired to Ormond Beach FL where they enjoyed many new friends and new adventures together for the next 25 years. Bob enjoyed a passion for everything golf and pursued many other interests and hobbies during his long life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A private service will be held for the immediate family, but a celebration of Bob's life will be held at Clubhouse 83 at Bear Creek in Ormond Beach on Tuesday, August 5th, at 1:00 p.m. The family extends a cordial invitation to anyone who knew Bob to join us at that time in acknowledging and remembering a life well lived.
