Beaureguard Hardeman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 12, 2015.

Beaureguard Andrew Hardeman, Jr., moved to Daytona Beach, Florida with his father, mother and two sisters in 1952. He was seven years old and was not too happy about the move from Georgia, especially when he spotted an armadillo during one of his early evening walks around their neighborhood on Marion Street. He had never seen an armadillo before and wanted to immediately return to Georgia. The family stayed, however and Andrew as he was called in school, grew up and fell in love with Daytona Beach. He attended Campbell and Bonner Elementary Schools and then Campbell Street High School (CHS). He excelled in High school academically, was the statistician of the football team, sang in the chorus and was active in many other school activities. His graduating class of 1962 was the last class to graduate from the original school on Campbell Street (now Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd). In the fall of 1962, Andrew achieved his dream and attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. After living in California for a time, he returned to Atlanta and made it his permanent home. Over the years, he was a frequent visitor to his beloved Daytona and attended each CHS all class reunion, the last one in 2014. Prior to his funeral service and burial in Atlanta this past August, a comprehensive obituary appeared in the News Journal. A memorial service will be held tomorrow (November 13, 2015) at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church to give his Daytona friends the opportunity to celebrate his life. The service time is 1:00 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to Beau's favorite charity: Unconditional Love For Children (ULC) Foundation, P.O. Box 1347, Decatur, Georgia 20021
