Funeral service for Manuel DaSilva will be held at 1:45 p.m. Sunday Feb. 10, 2008, in the Chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach. A visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, February 9, at the funeral home. Manuel S. DaSilva, 64, Ormond Beach, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at Florida Hospital-Ormond Memorial. He was born July 24, 1943, in Portugal to the late Alfredo and Portificacao DaSilva. A mechanic, he moved to this area in 2005 from Sayreville, N.J. He enjoyed working on cars and handy work. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Phyllis; four children, Tony DaSilva, Elizabeth, N.J., Lisa Correia, Spotswood, N.J., Chris Callahan, Sayreville, N.J., and Tracy Divel, Ormond Beach; brother, Alfredo DaSilva, Newark, N.J.; and four grandchildren, Nicholas, Daniel, Anna Marie and Gabriel.
