A celebration of life for Dee Chase, an amazing and beloved wife, soul mate, mother, grandmother and best friend, who passed away on August 25, 2008, will be 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, with Greg Romeo as the celebrant. Dee was born July 16 in Kansas City, Mo., one of four daughters and one son born to Oscar and Emma Barnes. Dee and husband, Howard Chase, just celebrated their 40th anniversary on August 22. Through her life, she and her husband have traveled the world, including the Philippines, England and Germany. She enjoyed reading and bowling and was a member of the Florida, Texas, Mississippi and National 500 Club. Dee made many, many everlasting friendships throughout her travels but especially within the bowling community. Dee leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Howard; daughter, Donna Sneed; daughter, Tana; sister, Ethel Jones, Independence, Mo.; and precious grandson, Cody Sneed. She was preceded in death by her sons, John, Bruce and David. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Florida Hospital Hospice Care at Oceanside, 264 S.
