A Celebration of Life for Mr. Raymond Elliott, 75, West Baltimore Drive, DeLand, will be held 3:30pm, Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 514 West Beresford Avenue, DeLand, Reverend Melvin L, Young, Sr., pastor, officiating. Calling hours will be held today (Friday) from 5pm to 8pm at Arthur Mack Funeral Home and Saturday at Macedonia from 1pm until service time. Burial will follow the services at Community Cemetery. A retired employee for the City of DeLand for 29 years, he was born in Fort White, Florida, moving to this area more than 50 years ago. He was preceded in death by his wife: Minnie W. Elliott; sister, Edna Moore; brothers: Rufus White, Mitchell White & James Elliott. Survivors include: one son, Gloyd Cohen (Grace), Savannah, GA; daughter, Barbara Washington (Walter), Sanford, FL; six grandchildren: Gwendolyn (Chris), Carrie, Falecia, LaVaughn (Frederick), Lamir, Andrea (Angie); one goddaughter, Flora Goosby ; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
