Betty Jean Butler-McNeill, 80, passed away on July 24, 2010, at The Elms Nursing Center in Milford, New Hampshire. She was born in Rocky Mount, N.C., on January 29, 1930. Betty was a retired bank officer in Alexandria, Va, before relocating with her husband to Daytona Beach. She was a past member of The National Association of Bank Women. Betty was also a member of Community United Methodist Church in Daytona and sang with the chancel choir. She was a past member of Daytona Elks Lodge 1141, The Supreme Emblem Club 204, and Port Orange Elks 2723, serving for 13 years as a volunteer for the Elks. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Mac, in 1981, as well as her two sons, Thomas and Jack McNeill. Survivors are her sister, Gladys Prince of Smithfield, N.C.; four grandchildren, Colleen, Cathy, Thomas and Jack, and three great grandchildren. Arrangements are entrusted to Baggett and Summers Funeral Home, Daytona Beach, Fl. Visitation will be on Wednesday (today), July 28, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and funeral services on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the funeral home.
