Joseph A. Hartmann, passed away on October 15, 2010. He was 69. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, on November 8, 1940, he was the son of the late Mary and Gerald Hartmann. He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Shirley LeClair Hartmann; beloved children; sons, Joseph Hartmann Jr., of Succussana, NJ, Thomas (Kristine) Hartmann of Mt. Bethel, PA, Denis (Rosaleen) LeClair of Naples, FL; daughters Karen (Jack) Gonzalez of Blairstown, NJ, Denise (Brian) Cobb of Naples, FL, Durelle (Gerald) Linton of Athens, TN; grandchildren, Joey, Christina, Stephen, Thomas, Jr., Samantha, Laura, Briana, William, Jennifer and Heather, his adored great granddaughter, Heather; his aunt, Anna Hartmann; other family and many friends. Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by his brother, Gerald Hartmann, Jr. He spent most of his life in Morris County, NJ where he was a sheet metal mechanic and a proud union member holding the title of Vice President of Local 15 in Central Florida. He moved to DeLand, FL in 1985 and for the past 7 years Estero, FL has been his home. Joe loved being a member of the Lake Beresford Yacht Club and the Monday Night Club at Emmy's. He was a long time member of both the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and the Loyal Order of Moose. Friends will remember Joe's love of NASCAR and the New York Giants. He will be greatly missed by so many who knew and loved him. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 20, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail South, Bonita Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 21 at 10 am at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, 19680 Cypress View Dr, Fort Myers, FL. A buffet lunch will follow at Rockery Point's Clubhouse at 20460 Rookery Dr, Estero. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to Our Lady of Light Catholic Church.
