Chester L. Sagraves, 82, of DeLand, passed away on February 2, 2011 at Florida Hospital DeLand. He was born in Ashland, Kentucky on April 9, 1928 and came to DeLand in 1966 from his birthplace. He served in the Army Air Corps. Chester worked as an inspector for General Electric for 26 years. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Darlene; sons, Richard Sagraves of Daytona Beach, Michael Sagraves and Robert Sagraves, both of DeLand; daughter, Pam Long of Columbus, Ohio; step-son, Richard Hutson of Orange City; step-daughter, Gaylynn Hutson of Port Orange; brothers, Grant Sagraves of South Carolina, Clarence Sagraves of Ashland, Kentucky and Harry Sagraves of Gatkinburg, Tennessee; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 6 from 11am-1pm, with a service at 1pm at the Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand.
