Dr. Stephen Ammon Secunda passed away Friday, September 9, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at the Hospice Care Center of Port Orange, FL. He was born October 19, 1935, in Butler, PA to Stephen and Edna Secunda, the first of nine children. Stephen proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, as a Paratrooper and Medic. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa in 1976. He practiced Chiropractic and Holistic Medicine for 33 years. He married his beloved wife Nancy J. Secunda, July 18, 1977, whereupon they began their new life together in Daytona Beach, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Nancy of Port Orange, FL; Sisters Joan Codispot, Butler, PA, Betsy Cessna, Ormond Beach, FL; Brothers Dennis Secunda, Port Orange, FL, Walter (Butch) Secunda, Ormond By The Sea, FL; Sister Bonita Kosak, Vermont; Sister Barbara Secunda, Port St. Lucie, FL. He is proudly survived by his four Children, Lisa (Mark) McTaggart of Grand Cayman; Shane Secunda of Port Orange, FL; Sara Secunda of Millstone Township, NJ; and Stacy Secunda of Wilbur-by-the-Sea, FL; Two Grandchildren, Nicole Giuffre and Madison McTaggart; Numerous Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews; and his loving pets Boo, Olive, Caesar, Bear, and Odin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Port Orange Care Center, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011, 11:00a.m. at the Oasis Fellowship Church at 85 South Tymber Creek Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 (386) 676-2640.
