Michael (Mick) McPherson, 51, of Daytona Beach, Florida passed away on November 2, 2011. A Funeral Mass is being held at 8:30am Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange. Interment will follow services at the Greenwood Cemetery in Daytona Beach. Michael was born on March 3, 1960 in Syracuse, NY but grew up in Saint Louis, Michigan. Michael relocated to the Daytona Beach area in 1986 with his parents. He is known in the Daytona Beach area from his 15 years of service working for Publix and for 5 years with Wal-Mart on Dunlawton. He will also be remembered as a parishioner and usher at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. His love of travel took him to numerous parts of the world in the past few years. Michael also enjoyed fishing when time allowed. He was always someone who saw the best in everyone and considered any one he would meet to be his friend. Michael was preceded in death by his father, James McPherson, in 1998 and will be missed by his mother, Mary Lou McPherson. He is also survived by one brother, James McPherson (Patty) of Lansing, MI; sisters, Maureen Harris (Paul) of Hudson, OH, and Karen and Kathy McPherson, both of Tampa, FL; Special Uncle David White; three Nephews and one Great-Nephew.
