Guy LaPore Sr., 87, Palm Coast, Florida passed away on April 28, 2012 at Florida Hospital Oceanside, Ormond Beach. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home Naperville, Illinois. All arrangements are under the careful direction of the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Parkway. Guy was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois graduating from the Lane Tech High School. He attended IIT, then Wright Jr. College earning his Associate's degree. Guy served in the United States Army, earning the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal and Good conduct Medal. He also served in WW II. Guy was a life time member of the VFW. He had a love of History and enjoyed Gardening in his yard and cooking. Guy also loved being a grandpa to his grand and great grandchildren. Guy will be remembered for his full of life attitude and love of Bocci. Guy was preceded in death by his first wife Vita Bavaro LaPore in December 24, 1978. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Geraldine LaPore of Palm Coast; son Guy LaPore Jr. (Janice) of Illinois; daughter Roseanne Ingraham (Ray) of Missouri; step- son Stephen Kungis of Texas; step-daughter Juliann Kungis of California; brothers Sam LaPore (Toni) of Washington, Henry LaPore of Illinois. He was also the loving grandfather to five grandchildren Jessica Ingraham of Missouri, Janelle Kreiling (Brian) of Illinois, Deanna Bush (Scott) of Illinois, Christopher LaPore (Melinda) of Illinois, Brandon Lourtour of California and six great-grandchildren.
