Virginia E. Kaiser, age 77, of New Smyrna Beach, died Wednesday at home. Born in Fristoe, Missouri, Virginia came to this area in 1993 from Florissant, Missouri. She was a retired nursing assistant at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. A volunteer at the Atlantic Center for the Arts and Harris House, Virginia used her own artistic talent making greeting cards for herself, her friends, and for the Harris House gift shop. She was also a long time member and former president of the Fairgreen Garden Club. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Moore of Ironton, Missouri; a son, Michael Standfield of Farmington, Missouri; a sister, Elizabeth Joan Caudle of Charleston, South Carolina; four grandchildren including granddaughter Shannon Moore of Ironton; nieces Arlene and Cheryl Etheridge, both of Charleston; and her life partner, Thomas Burgess of New Smyrna Beach. Her memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at the Settle-Wilder New Smyrna Beach Chapel, with Chaplain Andrew Pollock, Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, officiating.
