Carolyn Branca Benedict, 48, of Daytona Beach passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2012. A private family service will be held in her honor in New York. Carolyn will be remembered for being a compassionate, loving person. She worked as a home health care aide for the elderly. Carolyn moved to the Daytona Beach area to be near her parents. She cared for her own dear father, Anthony Branca, until his recent passing. Carolyn had true reverence for the Bible and her Baptist faith. She enjoyed being near the ocean at her retirement. Her greatest love was for her children and family. She is survived by her loving sons: Todd (Alisha) Benedict, of North Carolina, and Joseph Benedict of New York; and grandson Ashton of North Carolina. She will be sadly missed by her mother Dilena Branca of Ormond Beach; by her brothers: Anthony (Camille) Branca of New York, and Mike (Sue) Branca of Florida; and by her sister Lisa Marini of New York. She will be mourned by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com
