A former resident of Hugh Ash Manor in DeLand, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012. She was born in DeLand on October 9, 1935 to Lucius W. "Mac" and Ethel (Dusenbury) McMillan. A lifelong resident of Volusia County, she graduated from DeLand High School with the Class of 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Walton Myric "Mike" McMillan; and her nephew, Thomas Moore Edwards. Margaret is survived by three daughters: Theresa (Neal) Peck, of Albuquerque, NM, Karen Bly, of Springfield, IL, Patte (Mike) Bishop, of Union City, IN; two sisters: Frances (Gayle) Mercer of Kissimmee, FL and Susan McMillan Edwards of Orlando; grandchildren: Chris and Celynda Peck and Matt and Lindsey Bishop; many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews; and grandpups Jackson & Lyric Grace. Margaret worked at Sparton Electronics for 28 years and retired as a supervisor in 1994. She loved her cocker spaniels, and enjoyed family trips, bowling, cooking, sewing, and ceramics.
