On Thursday, August 30th, Jim Youngblood died peacefully after marking his 79th birthday. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Jim moved to Florida from Illinois with his family to work at the Ormond Beach Postal Service where he made many friends as a window clerk. After retirement he worked for several years at the Speedway during racing events and his circle of friends grew larger. He valued his friends as family. He was preceded in death by his twin children Lynn and David Youngblood, his parents, and brother Donald. His wife Joan; sister-in-law, Rose Marie Shevokas; nieces and nephews; and friends will remember him. Donations may be made to Hospice.
