CHARLEY CECIL Obituary

age 58, of Edgewater passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at his home following a lengthy battle with COPD. Charley was born in New Martinsville, WV and moved to Edgewater in 1988. He was a coal miner (UMWA LU 1785) for Quarto Mining Co in Clarington, Ohio for 11 years. He is survived by his wife Sandy of 34 years; his daughter Brooke who adored him; two grandchildren Blaze and Sky; sister Cathy; and brother Gary; sister-in-law Carolee; father Charles (Chuck); and mother, Joan (Newman) Cecil; nephews Casey, Drew, Taylor, and Tommy; and nieces Tina, Emma, Megan, and Lacie. He enjoyed Restoring Hot Rods, Hunting, Motorcycle Riding, and Fishing as well as spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, New Smyrna Beach. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the First Church of the Nazarene, 201 South Orange Street, New Smyrna Beach, FL. Officiating service will be Pastors Allen Shortridge, Chuck Acheson, and Glen Freshour.

I am so sorry to hear about Charley. I have such fond memories of us growing up in New Martinsville. I can just see him in heaven, driving around that red corvette with the top off, smiling away. RIP Charley

Charley the most lovable caring man to all, how you have touch us all with your beautiful spirit, I loved you my sweet cousin.
