Patricia A. McCurry, 78, of Ormond Beach passed away November 21, 2012. She was a resident of Bear Creek since 2002. Pat was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY. She lived in Piscataway, NJ from 1955-1966 and moved to Rockaway Beach, NY from 1969-2002. She was active in many organizations: President of St. Brendan's Gaelic Society in Rockaway for 10 years; Vice President of Rockaway Civic Assoc. for 19 years; President of the Columbiettes in Rockaway for 1 year; President for 10 years of the South Shore Miniature Enthusiasts Dollhouse Club in Long Island. Pat was a Lecturer and Eucharistic Minister at St. Camillus Church in Rockaway for 19 years and a Lecturer at Prince of Peace Church in Ormond Beach for 4 years. She attended St. Anthony of Padua School in Greenpoint and Long Island City High School. Pat worked 16 1/2 years with Chase Manhattan Bank in Queens and NYC. She was the daughter of the late Helen and James Dougherty, wife of the late John F. McCurry, sister of the late Kenneth Dougherty, and mother-in-law of the late William Finneran. She is survived by her only child Kathleen Finneran; and only granddaughter, Ciara, who resides in Greenpoint. She is also survived by her brother James A. Dougherty of Oakdale, LI and 3 sisters-in-law: Mary Labiak, Catherine Revy, and Dorothy Dougherty; and 6 nieces and 6 nephews and 7 cousins. She had a large collection of Angels and was referred to as the "Angel Lady". She loved to learn all new arts and crafts, and displayed her dollhouse vignettes in her home, on tv, and 5 libraries. She liked to play Bingo, Bunco, and Rummukub.
