Peter Henry (Harry) Davis passed away on Friday, November 23rd, 2012. Harry was born on May 16, 1939 in Jersey City, NJ, and resided in Bricktown, NJ and Point Pleasant, NJ and Daytona Beach, FL. He was employed by Jersey Central Power and Light in New Jersey for many years before taking an early retirement to Daytona Beach, where he opened and operated Boondocks Restaurant with his former wife, Arlene Davis. Harry was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life, including many family vacations, camping in Fort Wilderness, biking on the beach, and swimming and body-surfing in the ocean. He was an avid NASCAR fan, had his pilot's license, and always had a loyal dog by his side. He is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Marianne Gribbon and her husband James; and four loving stepchildren and their spouses, Jeff and Kathy Hoefler, Lori and Mark Gromis, Amy and Peter Mullen, and Jennifer and Curt Bowens. Harry had 12 loving grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Megan, Kate, Elizabeth, Jessica, Marisa, Victoria, Andrew, Matthew, Chris, Ashley and Brandon; and one great-grandchild, Jenna Renae. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Dolores Davis, and their two children Rachel and Sean. A funeral mass will be held at the Church of the Epiphany, 200 Lafayette St., Port Orange, FL on Saturday, December 1st at 10 am. There will be a memorial gathering for all that loved Peter (Harry) at Boondocks Restaurant from 12 noon to 2 pm following the service.
