Denise Lynn Cross, of Port Orange, FL was born on February 15, 1950 in Troy, New York to William and Alice Bashford - Golden. Mrs. Cross passed away on December 18, 2012 at her residence at the age of 62 years. Denise was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School and Siena College. Mom was a homemaker, bank teller and loving grandmother. Denise enjoyed her time being a foster parent, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and giving to others. Mrs. Cross was a member of the Tomoka Christian Church, and the Ovarian Cancer Support Group. Denise is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Gary W. Cross; three children, Jeffrey Spairana, Jeanette Burcham and husband Alan, and Jason Spairana and wife Susan; father, William Bashford; siblings, Judy Colwill (Edwin), William Bashford (Penny), David Bashford (Lilliana), Robert Bashford (Juliet), and Danny Bashford (Jackie); three grandchildren, Lillian, Liam, and Landon Spairana. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 5, 2012 at Tomoka Christian Church, 1151 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Denise to the VITAS Community Connection, 2381 Mason Ave., Suite 100, Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
