Arthur Lewis Carman, Jr., 88, of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away on December 27, 2012 at the Coquina Center, Ormond Beach. All services will be private. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Arthur was born and raised in Caldwell, New Jersey. He was employed as an Industrial paint sprayer for the Sun Dial Corporation in Fairfield, New Jersey for 39 years, retiring in 1987. Arthur proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Arthur and his wife Frances moved to Edgewater, Florida from New Jersey in 1988. He enjoyed spending his time working on his cars, spending quiet times fishing, and watching his favorite baseball team, the Mets. Arthur will be remembered as a true gentleman and will be sorely missed by all that knew him. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents Arthur L. Carman Sr. and Natalie Carman, brother Lloyd Carman and sister Virginia Johnson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Frances Carman of Ormond Beach; sons Arthur L. Carman III of Jacksonville; John Carman (Flora) of New Jersey; daughter MaryAnn Olsen (Howard) of Holly Hill. Arthur was also the loving grandfather to his grandchildren Donna, Howie, Krista, and Corey; and great-grandchildren Tony, Jazmin, Alexys, and Samantha.
